Children, Teachers Run For Their Lives As Herdsmen Invade Edo School

In what seemed to be ‘The fear of Herdsmen is the beginning of Wisdom’, primary school kids and their teachers took to their heels on Tuesday in Edo State as herdsmen reportedly invaded Ohovbe Primary School in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state, disrupting academic activities.

The shepherds had led their cows into one of the classrooms, a development which forced the pupils and teachers to flee for safety.

The drama lasted for an hour before the cows were led away.

Punch reports that the herdsmen had not only turned the school into a grazing ground but also used the classrooms as shelter when it rained.

The report states that one of the reasons the school has almost become the residence of the cows and the herdsmen would be the non-availability of windows and doors in the school buildings.
