‘007’, James Bond legend Sir Roger Moore Dies At 89 After Battle With Cancer

The man who brought fame to the James Bond series, Roger Moore has died.

 

He passed on at the age of 89 after a short battle with cancer, his family said.

 

He died on Tuesday in a hospital in Switzerland.

He would be buried in Monaco where he was living with his fourth wife, Kristina Tholstrup.

 

Roger Moore ruled over the screen for decades and would be best remembered for his sterling roles in such blockbusters as “Live and Let Die” and “A View to a Kill”.

 

Moore won fame as the smooth-talking adventurer Simon Templar in British television show “The Saint” in the 1960s, and also starred alongside Tony Curtis in “The Persuaders” in the 1970s.
