An irate son has killed his father because he forgot to add fish sauce to his pork soup.
The aggrieved son, 36-year-old Sakdin Duangphakhon, first became angry when his father Ngor, 65, boiled the meat too slowly at their home in Buriram, Thailand, Punch reports.
“He confronted him, and then flew into a rage when his dad told him he had forgotten to add fish sauce.
“Sakdinon grabbed an empty bottle and hit his father over the head, before slapping his 66-year-old mother Pa when she tried to intervene.
“Pa ran for help while her son launched a brutal and frenzied attack on Ngor with a kitchen knife on Thursday morning.
“When policemen arrived at the scene, they found Sakdin lying calmly in a hammock in front of the family home, covered in his father’s blood.
He has admitted to the crime and has been sent to Amphore Nangrong prison in Buriram to await sentencing.”
