Gunmen Shot Dead NYSC Member In James Ibori’s Enclave, Oghara

A National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Mr. Toritseju Lodge, was, on Monday, killed by gunmen suspected to be cultists at Oghara in Delta State, the small town where Delta State ex- governor, Chief James Ibori lives.

 

He was murdered in front of his rented apartment.

 

The NYSC member, a graduate from one of the universities in Oghara, Delta State, and serving in Imo State, was said to have returned to the house he was staying in Oghara to celebrate the Easter with friends, when the masked gunmen shot him.

Toritseju was in Oghara for the holiday where he has a rented apartment although his parents live in Sapele.

 

He was serving in Imo State before his death.

Information revealed that he was standing outside that night with a teenager at about 11p.m., checking his phone when the gunmen suddenly emerged and shot him thrice.

 

The killers took his mobile phone, removed the SIM and memory cards before destroying the phone and disappearing into the night.
