Dave Agwazim Spells Out Reason For Launching ‘Miss Classic Beauty Pageant’

The publisher of Classic International Magazine, Dave Agwazim has given a reason for the floating of a beauty pageant, Miss Classic Nigeria by his company, Digital Solutions.

 

In the online interview he had with Bobnews.com.ng, Mr. Agwazim said he wants to provide a world class beauty pageant that would portray Nigeria in good light. , “We are into the beauty pageant industry to create a world class beauty pageant that will portray Nigeria in a good light before the international comity of nations.

 

It is also to promote and project hidden beauties around the country, promote our tourism and above all create a veritable platform to build super models that will take the world by storm.”

 

According to him, the maiden edition, tagged ‘Miss Classic Nigeria 2017’ would have the winner of the star prize going home with one million naira (N1, 000,000) and a car. The second and third place winners are to get five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000) and two hundred thousand naira (N200, 000) respectively.

 

While auditions are to hold in several major cities across Nigeria, the grand finale is to come up on June 25, 2017.

“I want to be satisfied that I was able to give somebody the needed platform to climb and contribute my quota in creating tourism and employment.

 

“The difference between other pageant and Miss Classic is our sincerity of purpose and transparency.  I hope to and have put machineries in motion to see that Miss Classic will be the freest and fairest contest in Nigeria.

 

“We are talking with our foreign partners to be part of the selection processes. They are to act as observers and judges.  We equally are looking beyond the prize money but taking our girls through a thriving national and international modeling career, “he alleged.

 

He concluded by saying that, “We are going to draw the judges from every sector that make up what we are doing. There would be representatives from the fashion industry, the media, professional dancer, a veteran Nollywood icon, a top model, a linguist and a foreign observer.

 

Their work will be so transparent that even me, as the organiser will not know who wins.”

 

Beyond the prize money, we will help build a good modelling career for them.
