What is to become another gay wedding has been announced in the United States of America. This time, the unusual solemnization of loved ones in Holy Matrimony would be between Ryan Ruckledge and Hughie Maughan.
Ryan had tweeted their engagement on Thursday.
The duo met four months on Channel 5’s Big Brother.
The reality TV couple declared that they were engaged during their time in the House, but made it official this month as their relationship blossomed in the outside world.
Ryan’s post said: ‘So the cats out the bag me and @hughie_maughan are officially engaged! So happy and can’t wait for the future #biggaygypsywedding ??’
His Twitter announcement was quickly followed and retweeted by his partner, with an extra sentiment for any ‘doubters’ of their relationship.
He wrote: ‘FINALLY me and ryan can announce that we are officially ENGAGED! We are so happy and everythin feels right, huge hi five 2 the doubters’
They followed it up with a joint statement that said: ‘We don’t want to comment on the special crazy moment and how it happened we love you all and we are happy but we want to keep it private X’
The couple raised suspicion earlier this month when Ryan tweeted ‘I do’ with a bride emoji, a ring and a church.
It is believed that Hughie proposed on September 22, 2016 as Ryan posted the date, too.
Previously, Ryan and Hughie also told their Series 17 housemates that they were engaged during the two months that they spent inside.
A delighted Ryan declared: ‘This sounds really, really, really bizarre but he’s actually proposed to me.’
During the episode, Ryan told the stars that he wasn’t sure if his mother would approve of Irish Traveller Hughie, saying: ‘We’ve been going out with each other for a few days but he was worried about whether my mum liked him or not.’
It’s official: The pair revealed the news on Thursday afternoon
