Anambra state born Nollywood actress, Princess Adaeze Edwin would not lend her voice to the agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra, but she is of the view that such a struggle should be considered a natural occurrence.
The thespian, therefore, advices the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to be cautious on the way he handles the issue.
She told E24-7 Magazine on the location of a movie, The Untold Story of Itohan, “Nigerians should be very cautious on the way they handle the subject of Biafra. It’s a sensitive matter and should be addressed as such. The President must understand the fact it’s only but natural that people after living together for a long time, would want to break out.
Then, it means, that they want freedom. The agitation for freedom is a universal thing. People ask for freedom when they don’t feel comfortable where they are. However that may be, those in authority must exercise absolute care in dealing with the agitators, lest the conflagration that may come out of the use of force to quell the demand for the said Biafra, consumes us all.”
“My desire for Nigeria is whatever that would take us forward. Biafra or not, that is what want. All I stand for is peace, “she concluded.
