Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has been named the world’s highest-paid TV actress for the fifth year in a row.
The 44-year-old earned $43 million before management fees and taxes, according to Forbes magazine.
She topped the list by an impressive sum – her salary from June 2015 and June 2016 is almost $20 million more than Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who came in second place with $24.5 million.
Vergara has played Gloria Pritchett on the hit sitcom since 2009 and now commands a substantial salary.
But this year she steamed ahead with a 66% increase in earnings thanks to a string of very profitable endorsements and licensing arrangements.
She has deals with Head and Shoulders, Ninja Coffee Bar, perfumes, a furniture line and even advertises medical scrubs.
In contrast, Cuoco earnings are mostly from CBS role, which nets her $1 million per episode.
The Mindy Project actress Mindy Kaling moved from eighth to third place on the list this year with $15 million.
Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and Grey’s Anatomy Ellen Pompeo rounded out the top five, with Quantico’s Priyanka Chopra making the list for the first time.
Vergara’s Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen also made the list, coming in 11th place with $10million.
